Luke is a Partner at Derwent in our Private Equity and Consumer & Retail practices. Based in Melbourne, he brings 20 years of executive search experience across the UK and Australian markets, focused on C-suite and senior leadership appointments for some of the world's most recognised consumer and retail businesses.

Luke works with leading Private Equity funds, ASX-listed and private companies, and global consumer brands to identify and place exceptional leadership talent. Known for an innate ability to read people and situations, he brings clarity in judgement and pace in execution, making him a trusted adviser to clients navigating complex, high-stakes appointments. His deep understanding of customer-centric environments and extensive domestic and global networks mean he brings unique and diverse talent to every search.

Prior to joining Derwent, Luke founded Emu Search, a contemporary executive search firm he built and scaled over six years with a focus on Retail, e-commerce and Private Equity. Earlier, he held a Principal role at SHK Asia Pacific in Melbourne before leading multiple teams at PageGroup, a FTSE 250 global recruitment consultancy, establishing both the Retail and Digital practices in Melbourne and growing them into a market-leading position.
